Blood for Dracula (1974)
OFX partner River Lunsford hosts this wacky tale full of blood, communism, and some…interesting (problematic) takes on the vampire subgenre. Described as everything from “aesthetically pleasing” to “sickening junk,” this film is a creative project that could only have come from the minds and bodies of Andy Warhol’s Factory collective in the 1970s.
WOEFF x OFX: The United States of America
Our friends at Oklahoma City University’s Wide Open Experimental Film Festival return for our bimonthly screening series of experimental feature films. This month, we’ll be watching The United States of America (2022) by James Benning, a renowned independent filmmaker, educator, and activist. (He even taught at the University of Oklahoma in the late ‘70s!) Benning’s revisit to his 1979 film splices together static shots of places in each of the fifty states, lasting two minutes each, to tell a visual story of contemporary America. Much like the style of Frederick Wiseman, Benning’s film relies on the immersion of observation to deliver a message of a greater American experience and culture we are otherwise not attuned to.
Down in Front: The Nut Farm (1935) with Dalton Stuart, Olivia Sanchez, and Kirsten Therkelson
Live comedy interruption show Down in Front returns with The Nut Farm, a film that had the nation roaring in 1935, probably because there wasn’t anything else to do. This stage-to-screen adaptation follows a married couple, Bob and Helen, who move to California to make a fresh start. Only, they have different aspirations: Helen wants to become an actress, and Bob wants to buy a nut farm. What happens from there is anyone’s (specifically Dalton, Olivia, and Kirsten’s) guess.
Raygun Busch presents: Ghostlight (2024)
To quote Raygun, “this is probably the only new movie I will ever show here.” It’s just that good. Raygun Busch presents to us Ghostlight, his favorite film of 2024, an underappreciated film about a construction worker who joins a local theater production of Romeo and Juliet. Described in reviews as “pure storytelling,” “majestic,” and “independent film at its most phenomenal,” this film is sure to leave an impression.
RESCHEDULED - Tales from the Past: The Phantom Carriage (1921)
Thy soul shall bear witness: Count Galvorn returns with an old tale of woe, wherein an alcoholic man is visited by the strict master of Death on New Years Eve to reflect on his past transgressions. Considered one of the most seminal works of Swedish cinema and one of the greatest films in history, The Phantom Carriage has had major impact on the artistry of Ingmar Bergman, as well as influence on The Shining (1980) and Nosferatu (2024). Like all tales, this one would not be complete without the ambient and eerie compositions by the Count and the wise musings of host the Frightful Femme.
RESCHEDULED - Hot Rod (2007)
Re-scheduled from January 24: As is tradition for OFX partners, Justin Jayne takes over the reins for his birthday for a screening of Hot Rod (2007), Andy Samberg’s feature film debut. When health insurance will not cover his stepfather’s surgery, aspiring stuntman Rod Kimble plans a stunt even bigger than Evel Knievel to raise money for the operation. Join us in celebrating Justin’s birthday with this Lonely Island classic about following your dreams and doing a big ass stunt.
Hundreds of Beavers (2022)
Hold on to your fur hats: OFX partners Rachel Lobaugh and Breigha Czajkowski host a slapstick epic about a frostbitten battle between JEAN KAYAK and DIABOLICAL BEAVERS--hundreds of them--who stand between him and survival. In this 19th century supernatural winter epic, a drunken applejack salesman must go from zero to hero and become the greatest fur trapper by defeating hundreds of beavers. Happy Groundhog Day from OFX.
Anything That Moves (2025)
OFX is thrilled to host a screening of Alex Phillips’ Anything That Moves (2025), an avant-gutter psychedelic dream, erotically charged, blood-soaked thriller set in the sticky corridors of Chicago. Shot on fleshy Super 16mm, director Alex Phillips' rust belt giallo continues on his trajectory of taboo-shattering horror cinema with this tense, funny, and absolutely twisted murder mystery.
The film follows nubile sex worker Liam who bikes with his girlfriend—his partner in both business and pleasure—through the city delivering snacks and divine satisfaction to his love-hungry clients. Meanwhile, a serial killer's gory murders are piling up and all the evidence seems to point back to the lover's bed...
L.E.A.D. x OFX: Silkwood (1983)
OFX welcomes L.E.A.D. Agency, a grassroots environmental action organization, for a screening and discussion of Silkwood. Somewhat forgotten from our cultural memory despite some of the most well-known names in the film industry attached, this film tells the true story of Karen Silkwood, who worked at a plutonium plant in Logan County, Oklahoma and died in mysterious circumstances while on her way to expose the nuclear facility’s negligence. Nearly 50 years since the plant closed, uranium remains in Logan County’s groundwater today. Join L.E.A.D. and OFX as we screen Silkwood, learn about the history of resistance to nuclear energy in Oklahoma from people who experienced these events first-hand, and discuss nuclear issues affecting us today in a post-screening panel discussion.
Uncanny Art House x OFX: David Lynch: The Art Life (2016)
In our second collaboration to celebrate the life and work of David Lynch, Uncanny Art House visits OFX to host David Lynch: The Art Life (2016) as part of their 4th Friday Films series presented by the Pioneer Library System and the final event of their “In Dreams” exhibition.

CANCELLED - Fists, Flips, & Falls: The Crippled Masters (1979)
On this edition of the martial arts cinema series Fists, Flips, & Falls, OFX partner Keithan Smith hosts The Crippled Masters, a film following two disabled brothers who seek revenge on an evil crime boss by becoming an unstoppable fighting duo. Described as “equal parts exploitation, high camp, and crowd-pleasing action,” this film is a unique and undoubtedly strange entry into the world of martial arts cinema, but one of the few examples of disabled actors playing disabled characters that rides the line of exploitation and representation.
OFX x Uncanny Art House: Los Angeles Plays Itself (2003)
OFX invites you on a field trip to visit our friends at Uncanny Art House, a community art hub in Norman, Oklahoma. Much like OFX, Uncanny is dedicated to building community spaces for the arts, creating inclusive opportunities for artists, and encouraging collaboration across artistic disciplines. Beginning January 9, Uncanny will host “In Dreams,” an exhibition honoring the work and life of David Lynch through March 1.
As part of their programming for the exhibition and 4th Friday Films, OFX is partnering with Uncanny for a screening of Los Angeles Plays Itself, a documentary exploring the ways Los Angeles has been represented and mythologized in film and visual media. OFX will lead a post-screening discussion.

COLF x OFX: 10,000 Black Men Named George
For this month’s Central Oklahoma Labor Federation movie night, OFX presents 10,000 Black Men Named George, a 2002 made-for-TV film that dramatizes the work of union activist Asa Philip Randolph, played by the late Andre Braugher. In the 1920s, Randolph organized the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, the first Black-led union organization to be recognized by the AFL. Coinciding with MLK Jr. Day, A. Philip Randolph and others’ activism would pave the way for the Civil Rights Movement a few decades later, with Randolph seen as one of the most prominent spokespeople of the movement and a collaborator of Dr. King.
I Am Not Your Negro (2016)
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19, for this edition of Docu-Sunday, OFX partner River Lunsford hosts I Am Not Your Negro (2016), an exploration of institutional racism and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s through the unfinished manuscript Remember This House by James Baldwin. This film by documentarian Raoul Peck reimagines the narrative of institutional racism in the US through Baldwin’s writings and our cultural understanding of popular media depictions of Black identity, a poetic splicing of “history” and “current events” to provoke our ideas of progress and resistance.
Mickey Reece Retrospective: Night 3 - Fall Films Reunion
On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 7PM, join Mickey Reece and surprise guests from the original Fall Films collective for a Q&A moderated by TIFF Midnight Madness programmer Peter Kuplowsky, following the second ever Oklahoma City screening of Punch Cowboy (2010). On January 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM, A Tribute to Dustin Sanchez will open with Children of the Lord, a twenty-minute short on VHS that has never been shown publicly. It will be followed by Dustin’s most acclaimed performance in Tarsus. A Q&A, moderated by TIFF Midnight Madness Programmer, Peter Kuplowsky with Mickey Reece and surprise guests will follow, before the final feature of the evening: Knights of Malice, a film that not only stars Dustin in the leading role but also credits him as co-writer alongside Reece. All screenings are first-come, first-serve pay-what-you-can admission.

Mystery Movie
Hmmmm, what could it be? Join OFX partners Dalton Stuart and Raygun Busch for a mystery movie, which shall be revealed mere moments before the screening begins. We’re not going to give anything anyway, but this one is a fan favorite. We hope you’re ready for trouble.

Sign-up begins at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7PM.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
Join OFX in remembering Rob Reiner with When Harry Met Sally (1989), a romantic comedy film about two people who could not be more perfect for each other, but are stuck (or, at least, one of them is stuck) in rigid ideas of gender roles and relationships. We asked for our patrons’ favorite Reiner films, and this one was the standout. OFX partner Dalton Stuart hosts this Reiner classic in memoriam of a great filmmaker lost too soon.
Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)
Following a slate of films that can only be described as evil, OFX takes it down a notch, with this downbeat Coen Brothers joint about a struggling folk singer, Llewyn Davis, played by Oscar Isaac in his breakout role.
The VVitch (2015)
Wouldst thou like to live deliciously? OFX partner Justin Jayne hosts the first feature film of filmmaker Robert Eggers and actress Anya Taylor-Joy, which depicts the bleak world of colonial New England. A family has been banished from their Puritan settlement and tragedies begin to befall the family. Their paranoia ramps up, all unaware that something far more sinister lurks beyond the trees. We conjure thee to come to OFX.
Cure (1997)
Described as “horror in the purest sense of the word,” Cure (1997) questions the existence of ontological violence and natural capacity for evil. Join OFX partner River Lunsford for one of his favorite films, the progenitor of 2000s J-horror, and the grandfather of Memories of Murder (2003) and Zodiac (2007).
"God's Country" (2025)
Dear Chat Rats of OKC, OFX is pleased to present an exclusive screening of “God’s Country,” an original production by dance theater ensemble PYDANCE, based on the album “God’s Country” by Chat Pile. Chat Pile will be in the house hosting, so come experience this unique opportunity with them and the community. Tickets are first-come, first-serve pay-what-you-can. Admission proceeds will be donated to PYDANCE to help fund their 2026 season.
The Invitation (2015)
You’re invited to join friend of OFX Paris Burris as she hosts this hidden gem from Karyn Kusama, a tonal departure from her previous work in Jennifer’s Body, but no less riveting.
BradChad Porter @ OFX: Episode One - THE END
BradChad Porter returns to OFX with a new show. The End is the beginning.
The Shining (1980)
What can we say that hasn’t already been said? You know the drill. OFX partner Breigha Czajkowski hosts this one, and it’s also their favorite film.
Tokyo Godfathers (2003)
For the first OFX screening of 2026, join partners Hannah Collins and River Lunsford for Kon Satoshi’s Tokyo Godfathers (2003), a “twisted sentimental story” about found family, coincidences, and Christmas miracles.
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
To close out the year, OFX partner River Lunsford presents to you Eyes Wide Shut: Stanley Kubrick’s final film with then-married Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, and River’s favorite film.
Day of the Beast (1995)
Celebrate the upcoming New Year with OFX partner Rachel Lobaugh with Day of the Beast, a Spanish film described as “if Mel Brooks had directed The Omen.”
When a rogue priest discovers the exact date The Antichrist will be born, he enlists a Death Metal record store clerk and a cheesy TV psychic for an urban spree of “gore, sacrilege and twisted humor” to prevent the Apocalypse by summoning Satan himself.
Tales from the Past x Church of Cinema: The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928)
Dear Reader, our very own Count Galvorn has a special Christmas surprise for you: a crossover of Tales from the Past and Church of Cinema, on a divine mission to present to you the 1928 masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc.
Do not just watch—experience—this landmark film, featuring a legendary performance from Renée Falconetti as Jeanne d’Arc and masterful direction from Tales alum Carl Theodor Dreyer, accompanied by a live original score from Count Galvorn. Our host, the Frightful Femme, will lead us through the tragedy and passion of a teenage girl’s faith amidst her condemnation for heresy and impending execution.
Cam Crush: Pride & Prejudice (2005)
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that an audience in possession of good taste, must be in want of a Cam Crush.
For this month’s edition of Cam Crush, Cam Hunter presents to us Pride & Prejudice (2006), which may or may not be your favorite P&P adaptation, but no one can deny its grip on pop culture and our perception of romance. Twenty years later, we still have heart eyes for Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Bennet and gush over Mr. Darcy’s whole hand thing.
