OFX invites you on a field trip to visit our friends at Uncanny Art House, a community art hub in Norman, Oklahoma. Much like OFX, Uncanny is dedicated to building community spaces for the arts, creating inclusive opportunities for artists, and encouraging collaboration across artistic disciplines. Beginning January 9, Uncanny will host “In Dreams,” an exhibition honoring the work and life of David Lynch through March 1.

As part of their programming for the exhibition and 4th Friday Films, OFX is partnering with Uncanny for a screening of Los Angeles Plays Itself, a documentary exploring the ways Los Angeles has been represented and mythologized in film and visual media. OFX will lead a post-screening discussion.

4th Friday Films are free and open to the public thanks to an ongoing partnership with the Pioneer Library System. Doors open at 6PM and the film starts at 6:30PM—arrive early for popcorn, conversation, and information on how to support your local library (and art collectives!).
