OUR MISSION

Oklahoma Film Exchange was formed to preserve cinema, celebrate culture, and build community. We’re here to Keep Film on Film Row.

Our goal as an organization is to preserve the Film Row screening room as an accessible and inclusive space for film lovers and the performing arts alike.

The Film Row screening room (now called Oklahoma Film Exchange) is located on the first floor of the Paramount Building at 701 W Sheridan in Oklahoma City. In the early days of cinema, film exchanges were opened all over the United States to handle and distribute film reels. Oklahoma City was a key part in this film distribution leading to the creation of Film Row. Of 37 film exchanges in the country, we are the last one left.

Over a century later, the screening room still stands. We are proudly operating this space with the goal to preserve it as a theater for film, live events, and art; to create an accessible venue; and to build a community space for all.

We count on and are incredibly grateful for the community’s help in preserving this vital piece of local history and industry. Your donations to our fundraising platform, visiting our space and donating for admission to shows, and telling those you know about us are what keep this place thriving.

Check out our Events page regularly for events and screening times!
