Gin, Hana, and Miyuki, all homeless and of varying marginalized identities, find an abandoned newborn baby in the garbage and set out on a quest to find its parents. In Kon Satoshi style, the group finds themselves tumbling into a dizzying comedy of errors, acts of fate, and encounters with the complexities of the lives of Tokyo’s most marginalized groups. This film encourages empathy, acceptance, and belief in things we cannot see—the perfect way to ring in the New Year.
