Paris Burris

Paris Burris (Chickasaw) (she/her) is a filmmaker and film programmer based in Oklahoma City. She currently serves as a Short Film Programmer for deadCenter Film Festival, Oklahoma’s largest and only Oscar®-qualifying festival, and is the founder of Femme Film, a free monthly series highlighting work by femme filmmakers for the Oklahoma community.

Paris also co-hosts the Reel Indigenous Podcast, where she shares insights on Native cinema and representation, and is passionate about making independent films in community with friends. Her creative work focuses on amplifying underrepresented voices, often through a lens of memory, legacy, and cultural preservation.

Currently, she is in development on Requiem for a Reel, a feature-length documentary about film preservation, and has recently produced several narrative shorts, including The Thrilling Adventure of Amos Waters, The Knight of the Sorrowful Figure, and The Dream of a Ridiculous Man (in production).
